Samantha Beckton, of Knot Now Massage and Bodywork Therapy, graduated from the Cincinnati School of Medical Massage in Oct. 2000 where she obtained her licensure from the Ohio State Medical Board.  She has immersed herself in the study of anatomy and physiology, dance, yoga, and therapeutic movement.  In addition to massage therapy, she continues her work as a physical therapist assistant in orthopedic outpatient setting helping patients regain mobility. She is a lifelong dancer as well as dance and yoga instructor.

Throughout the years, Samantha has become fascinated with trigger point  and myofascial release.  She believes that much of our pain develops from  chronic faulty posturing and repetitive muscular holding patterns that breed dysfunction within the tissues. Her innate sense of anatomy and physiology coupled with eye for posture and compensatory movement patterns help her to pinpoint muscular imbalance.  Her personalized therapeutic bodywork sessions are tailored toward restoring balance within the soft tissue to help properly align the body for pain free movement.

Additionally, Samantha is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, performing scar tissue management, manual lymphatic drainage and compression bandaging to manage post operative swelling for cancer survivors as well swelling related to venous insufficiency. She sees breast cancer patients post mastectomy and radiation to decrease scar tissue and increase tissue mobility.

Samantha has helped hundreds of people whom suffer from chronic pain conditions such as migraines, TMJ, neck pain, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder, low back pain, sciatica, plantar fascitis, whiplash, post-operative pain, and much more.  Her goal is to provide a state of deep relaxation for optimal healing to occur.
